After 9 years as a Chartered Accountant in Public Practice, focusing on Body Corporate (Strata) Management Alan then owned and operated a Real Estate business in Auckland for 11 years, specializing in property management and Body Corporate administration.
As chief financial accountant for the Gulf Harbour Group he oversaw the development of major mixed use resort and residential communities in New Zealand.
In the region since March 2008, Alan has focused specifically on the new field of Strata Management, as both an investor in a new management company, and a senior manager in Dubai’s largest Community Manager. Stephen Horner brings considerable management and consulting experience to the Novus team, having worked in Community Management for more than 12 years both in the UAE and abroad.
As a senior manager for one of Dubai’s largest property development and asset management companies, Stephen was involved in establishing the owners association management and consulting business unit responsible for managing some of the world’s largest developments.
Stephen has also worked as a development consultant for one of Australia’s largest community management companies, providing professional community management advice on residential, commercial, industrial, and large scale mixed-use masterplanned developments.

Stephen French – Business Development Manager
Stephen French has been living and working in Dubai from 2008. Prior to moving to Dubai, Stephen was Portfolio Manager of Foreign Exchange for a private hedge fund in Australia.
Initially working with PRDnationwide’s sales and leasing team, Stephens exposure to all facets of retail property through the implementation of the Dubai Strata Laws have given him a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of owners and developers alike.

Engin Togrulca, Community Manager
Engin has over 8 years of local experience in Property and Community Management. In the region since August 1999, Engin has specialized in Jointly Owned Property Management and has managed prestige developments all over Dubai.

Noha Issam Eldin Mohammed, Community Manager
Prior to joining Novus Noha has been working as a Property Management Executive with one of the leading Facility Management Companies in UAE.
During this period Noha was responsible on facilitating the delivery and the handover process of some of the most prominent properties in Dubai from the Main Contractor to the Tower Developer and back to the Individual Units Owners.

Babul Akhtar – Community Manager
Babul has strong operational and strategic experience with over 15 years in property management in London and Dubai. As an Association Manager for Emaar Properties PJSC, Babul was responsible for overall management of prestigious communities in Downtown Dubai, including Old Town Island, dealing with VVIPs, budget management in excess of AED 40M, contract and performance management of all FM service providers and of course, Home Owner Associations. Adel Gasan – Community Manager
With 7 years of experience in the Real Estate industry, Adel brings with him a fresh and dynamic management style combined with both Strata and Community Management experience. Having worked in the in United Kingdom and the Middle East he is able to utilize cross-cultural knowledge and regional understanding to present innovative solutions to community functions.
Whilst working for the prestigious Pearl – Qatar project Adel aided in the development of the Community Management Department, including the enhancement and implementation of Master Community policies and procedures. Adel has also been recognized as a driving force in facilitating successful community initiatives whilst monitoring and encouraging community enhancement as a whole.
Adel’s strengths include planning and sustaining community directives in order to identify and establish a healthy, viable community environment. This includes researching and providing recommendations on Community Development opportunities.
As an Association Manager for The Pearl Owners Corporation (TPOC), Adel was responsible for the management of a luxury property portfolio on The Pearl -Qatar.
